I knew little of this album before purchasing it, but did so at the insistence of my wife, who went to high school with Justin Vernon. The album starts off with a familiar indie folk acoustic guitar that is allowed to rattle and vibrate harshly as the music builds in intensity.
A simple, clean, but colorful postcard design, I left it open so I could add personalized text to the top or bottom along the way. Using three colors, but with little need for exact registration, I let the various colors overlap and shift on the page giving each card a subtle and unique feeling.
I finally ordered some type! BUT IT’S ONLY IN CAPS. AndIhavenospaces.

My lovely wife works for a craft publishing company, and one of her magazines is about knitting. For Christmas gifts this year, she thought that doing some note cards with misinterpretations of famous quotes would be fun.
Armed with some High West Whiskey and Interpol on my record player, I zoned out for a quick hour and made these coasters. Doing one color for anything below a 100 prints makes for a quick print run…
When I first received my record player, I thought the thick rumble of Interpol would be great with the sound vinyl provides by adding a natural fuzz.
