The Drunken Pressman

The January Dancer

I’ve been reading this for awhile now in between reading other more pulp-fiction style books. The reason I’m taking it slowly is because it’s so damn good. The characters are unique and all have strong distint voices, the setting is interesting and dynamic. It’s the most literary science fiction I’ve read for a long time, and I’m comfortable giving it a good rating before finishing. Set in a future where humans have taken sprawled through our galaxy’s spiral arm and is sifting through the remnants of a long dead race, the huge cast of characters all colide as they search for a mythical pre-human object. I’m not even half way through, and I went out and purchased the sequel, I was that impressed with Flynn’s book.
